'TSEKA' on KALOURIS : "WE WANTED HIM TO STAY"  17/02/2012 Sydney Olympic FC Head Coach Peter Tsekenis has spoken exclusively with the Olympic Ultras on the shock retirement of Championship-winning left-back Jerry Kalouris. "We certainly wanted him to stay," the straight-shooting manager stated, "and he was going to form a big part of our plans this year. "Especially with the squad changes we've had, and his quality, losing Jerry is a blow." After a successful introduction into the Sydney Olympic First Grade side, the enthusiastic wing back was set to form part of an exciting title defence at Belmore Sports Ground in 2012. But, after touring with the side to Lakeside Stadium in December and defeating hosts South Melbourne FC 3-2, Kalouris advised Peters' Tsekenis and Papoythis that he wanted a break from football. "He had been absent to training throught the previous year," admitted Tsekenis, "though these issues had been addressed and we felt we were past them. "We tried to convince him to stay but he wouldn't change his mind." Tsekenis is adamant that he wanted Kalouris as part of his 2012 setup. "If he wasn't good enough, I would have told him. The truth is that I know he is more than capable and that he was an important part of the squad." Kalouris' retirement has now left a question mark over the left back position after the loss of fellow 2011 NSWPL winner Bill 'Zeus' Tsanidis to Stanmore Hawks and winning Captain Richie Luksic to Bankstown City Lions. Bet he joins another club
Same was said with Tsanidis was taking a year off
for his studies only to join Stanmore
They won everything last year and they have started with there vlakies

What are you whinging about?
Tsanidis couldn't commit to NSWPL level that's why he's playing Division 1 with Stanmore, not even playing SL.
Sam Emmanouil is at Stanmore, average keeper.
Husky Akil was shit and went to rockdale and is now in Singapore.
Bamber was never starting 11 and went to manly; probably with the offer for more game time.
Alex Smith is at a-league.
Milevski the blockhead went back to Bankstown, big deal, It's his boyhood club.
Luksic, he was gna retire but is going to play one more season to help the club he supports gain promotion, Bankstown.
Kalouris is not playing this season, not sure why? He was an average defender anyways, just use to boot it upfield. Big deal.
The only loss we have which should have never happened was Stamatellis, but these things happen
