He also didn't refer to the clubs as ethnic sides....that's always a positive.

They also mention a Canberra team in the state league....that would be awesome.... If we had a team from Canberra and Newcastle then the NSWPL would be huge.

NSWPL should be de-facto 2nd tier comp
Simple. Fuck Rockdale and Blacktown Spartans off Bring in a Canberra side, South Melbourne, Green Gully, Melbourne Knights, Heidelberg, and a Newcastle team

If Australia was smaller geographically then it would be possible as teams would travel by bus. Airfares for an entire squad and coaching staff on the other hand is way too expensive and they wouldn't be able to afford it.
To put it into perspective. Airfares for a 25 man squad are $300 x 25 = $7,500 and that's Sydney to Melbourne return. For Olympic to play in that proposed league the budget needs to be $30,000 just for the travel expenses for those 4 matches for the squad only. Add coaching staff, officials and fees for baggage and equipment, we are looking at $50,000 a year on travel alone. If the team needed to stay overnight then it would be double that.
Optimistically, if that league had the kind of exposure that would attract a really large sponsorship deal then maybe it would be possible.

If there was to be a B-league 2nd division comp w/e you wanna call it
It's gotta be Marconi, Olympic, Syd United, South Melbourne, Melbourne Knights, Heidelberg & Brisbane Strikers
Respect for Bozza for bringing it up. I believe Fozzie is also with us too I contacted him about how Football is structured in this country & mentioned I was an Olympic fan he replied with this
Thankyou for the comments and be assured that eventually this game will take it's rightful place. Good luck at Olympic, I know a few kids playing there, good boys. Fozz
