The lack of transparency, the failure to respect the fans and stakeholders of the game, poor management of the game. Where do I begin:
* Failed economic modelling that has clubs bleeding under a mountain of debt
* Forbidding clubs to seek wider sponsorship from the business community - ie from car companies or Telcos
* Forbidding Perth Glory from celebrating 10 years in football because prior to 2006 football did not exist.
* Forbidding games going ahead with South melbourne and Gay Leagueclubs because it was seen to indermine the FFA Cup - something that has failed to materialise.
* Needing an 8 million dollar bailout because they were trading as insolvent after only 6 years
* Failure to do due diligence prior to admitting GCU and NQ Fury leading to the problems we have now
* Subsequesntly putting at risk any fruitful negotiations as far as the next tv contract is concerned.
* Focusing on the Socceroos and a failed World Cup bid while ignoring the Gay League- increasing the loss clubs have had to endure.
* 7 seasons in and NO club even breaking even.
* Ignoring Footballs history and failing to engage Australia's traditional clubs
* Awarding the licence to a West Sydney bid purely because Rowden and Buckley/Lowy were mates, even though the bid had no financial backing.
* Screwing other bids in the meantime who had been doing ground work for over a year (Rowdens bid was around for less then 4 months).
* Starting the league with only 1 club representing Sydney.
* Ignoring key reccomendations of 3 footballing reports over the past decade and the example of the NASL - among which was the recommendation to play out of boutique stadiums
* Not allowing clubs a say in the way the Gay Leagueis run
BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!
