 The HISTORY of Panhellenic will be at you finger tips as on the 24th Arpil 2012 at the Community Club LAKEMBA, Sydney Olympic FC and Vasili Vasilas will launch a book named the sleeping giant. Name of Book: Sleeping Giant About: The History of Panhellenic from 1957 - 1976 Book Launch: 24th April The Book will have over 100-120 photos! THIS IS MASSIVE!!! |

Yep HUGE initiative undertaken by this individual. Can not wait at all to read it Ffs  He has done a huge amount of archival research to dig up old photos, news articles and etc. I'm really excited for it. Gotta also buy a copy for my Uni Honours Course Supervisor who refuses to call SOFC anything but Pan-Hellenic (he was a Hakoah supporter). SOFC since 1957 Olympic Ultras - Third Generation Boys |

The giant that never woke up posted by on March 7, 2012 On the 24th of April 2012 at the Greek Community Club, Mr. Vasilis Vasilas together with Sydney Olympic Football Club will be presenting his new book about the Panhellenic years of 1957-1976 before the Club was renamed Sydney Olympic FC. The book will shed some light on interesting stories from the past and will focus not only with the on field history but also with the many exciting fairytale moments of the Club off the ground. The book includes testimonials from over 80 people including coaches, players, directors and plain fans and will include over 120 historical photos, some never seen before. The board will be approaching him to do one and will be offering assistance as well. This project the man did it entirely on his own.
