The atmosphere at the games must have been incredible, I've heard many stories, but this book makes me appreciate and understand the reason for the passion so much more.
I like how it really stresses how PanHellenic was much more than just a football club, it united the previously scattered Greek community...
I started reading last night and I'm about 100 pages in, didn't want to put the book down. A lot better than what I thought it would be, and I did have high expectations, massive thumbs up to the author (Y) Must have been so difficult to put together, he would've needed the 12 years !!

Whether you were Cretan, Pontian, Cypriot, from Smyna or Constantinople, Macedonia, Thrace, Epirus, Thessaly, Pelopennese, Athens, Egypt, Olympic united everyone in Sydney under 1 banner

I was about 7 or 8 years old when the Greeks stormed Wentworth Park during a game. They wanted to kill the ref and I think he was a Turk ( need to confirm that ). The late Panhellenic super supporter, Peter Varvaressos stormed onto the field to protect the referee while screaming at the top of his voice, " THOUSTOU TO POUSTI KSILLO TOR ARHITHI, GAMISETONEA TO MALAKA ". He was " protecting "the ref while urging the supporters to give him more. The rest of the Greeks in the stands were falling over themselves with laughter. I jumped the first fence with my cousin but my dad grabbed me before I got across the dog track. WHAT A DAY. I miss those days a lot. To anyone who reads this and doesn't like it, bad luck.

I loved it. The away teams might of found the dog track unusual but it was nothing to the Panhellenic supporters. Back in those days there were no parking restrictions either. Today it's a nightmare for parking. When Panhellenic played their last game there, that was the last time I've been inside. At Belmore I still see some of the old faces from back then and the memories flood back. Panhellenic, I was really proud of the club and still am.

What is the best way of purchasing this book. I do not attend your matches anymore, but would still like to have it in my collection.

What a book!!!
Havent read it all yet but it is some read already
Pan-Hellenic/Olympic grew from nothing to be a powerhouse of soccer in NSW.
