Pao fans vs cops (no away fans allowed in Greece). HT delayed by 35 minutes. Match abandoned with 8 minutes to go. Olympiakos were up 1-0, and will probably be awarded the win, Effectively meaning they have won the title. how long has that rule been for? no away fans allowed in greece? |

The whole Greek league is a joke. Very few teams are innocent. Corruption and mismanagement are rife. Even Olympiakos fans if they are honest with themselves know they aren't winning comps honestly.
Whoever has the biggest "brown paper bag" wins. It is bad for Greek football and means we do not reach our potential.
I love AEK - but we rack up huge debts, had a govt bailout and now are in the same position we were before. Serious mismanagement doesnt even come close to describing the mess.

The players know they are going to get paid, the fans respect our own ground and our club is run well. If you think we win titles due to corruption then you need to take a closer look. What happened in OAKA wouldn't have happened in the Karaiskaki. |

It's not a concrete rule, the big clubs just don't give out tickets to any other clubs in bulk. That way if away fans wish to come, they can, but they aren't going to get a spot with all their mates surrounding them which effectively gets rid of the mob mentality and the stadiums don't get broken. There are plenty of examples of smaller clubs giving tickets to Olympiakos, PAO and AEK because of their traveling fans which is a boost on their gate takings. |

What happened in OAKA wouldn't have happened in the Karaiskaki. Blaze - I try to look at things objectively. And as I see it all clubs (or the vast majority) are not clean. When you have blatant penalties being disallowed, people from clubs being caught on tape speaking about bribing refs (including attempted bribes of European refs) then we are dreaming if we think clubs are clean. Not only Olympiakos - but others clubs too. The league is a mess - and it makes us a laughing stock. |
