Tom Alexakis has applied for the 1st Grade job for 2011 as of last night. He was approached by a boardmember to apply! Thoughts?

i have to agree who the hell is he ??
with no NSWPL coaching experience i believe it would be a very bad move by the club ... I dont like the fact a board member is going out of his way to ask a potential "no name" coach to apply for a job at a very high pressure club such as SOFC .. If they are a big name coach then different story.
IMO we can not take the risk of appointing a person with very little knowledge or experience again this season.. I believe we need a big name coach to attract decent players who could potentially challenge for a semi final spot .... if they do appoint him as a 1st grade coach olympic will definantely be playing super league in 2012 as i believe we will most likely not have a good squad and if so we should shut the doors then and there...

Recently we had Morando and Spanoudakis as coachs of Olympic without 1st Grade NSWPL experience. Both seasons have ended horribly...

Spanoudakis had 1st grade experience at St George.
Blagojevic had no 1st grade experience and we were successful.
Pat Marando was never supportered from the start so was doomed for failure.
Mick Hickman had no 1st grade experience and we won the NSL title.
Gary Phillips had no 1st grade experience and we won the NSL title.
Experience is one thing but there are many other factors which contribute to success: Knowledge, players, budget, facilities, support from the club, etc
