I spoke to my cousin on Sunday. He is 32 years old who grew up going to Sydney Olympic every week home and away. My uncle (my dads brother) is a life member of Sydney Olympic so is my dad. Anyway I asked my cousin why has he not stepped foot at Sydney Olympic for so many years. His response was.... The soccer is shit. Why would I waste my time watching shit play..... I said to him it's not about that it's about supporting your team and keeping it alive. For some reason he did not care. He does not follow a league either though. He thinks a league is extremely shit. I then dug deeper... He is a mad Manchester united supporter and real Madrid supporter and watches English and Spanish games on television. He said that soccer was the benchmark. Guys your thoughts ?

Mate that is indicative of the attitude of most of the Sydney Olympic supporters, they are Olympic people and love Olympic, but cant stand watching them play park football and feel its no use going to games, but they also despise the Gay Leaguefor what they've done to Olympic.
I know tons of people who just watch football in Europe and have no interest in Australian soccer anymore.
The FFA have no idea what they did to the game

Whether they admit it or not, every Greek loves Olympic deep down.
The Australian game will take 100yrs to reach the Europeans, maybe more or never.
Rugby League and that malakia AFL are too big boys and well entrenched in the media.
Wog ball is a distant 4rd or 5th place sport here behind the sports I mentioned and then, cricket ( biggest malakia of a sport in the entire planet ) and union.
Even horse racing is bigger that football here.
