UNDER 14'S The team had a positive season. It rebuilt from 2009 after four players were selected in Project 22 and six new players joined the squad. The team focused on implementing the National Curriculum, being the best skilled players/team and improving their decision making. Throughout the season the team improved their ability to keep possession, to play out from the back, to play along the wide corridors and to play through the middle of the field with combination play and/or individual brilliance. Being able to keep possession at different speeds was also developed as was their understanding of their roles in defence. It was no surprise then to see the team playing consistently the best football of any team in the competition and the fantastic harmony amongst players and parents made it a very enjoyable season for all involved where not only did the boys develop as footballers but also as human beings. www.sydneyolympicfc.com/news/2010/08/25/sydney-olympic-fc-2010-season-review-under-14s/

Coach Luke Gray must be retained as he has proven a great junior coach by winning the minor premiership last year with the 13s.

Sydney Olympic FC 2010 Season Review: Under 18's After weeks of trailing the team was assembled. Training started and during the trails the team was coming together nicely with some great results in the pre season. It was shaping up for a great season, the focus was on improving the speed of play and the tactical and technical parts of the players and the game. Two formations that where used 4-3-3 and 1-4-3–2 (in a diamond) with the transition from defense into attack. But during the season there were many ups and downs with Tony moving to help the 20's, boys moving on, movement of players to the 20’s, many cautions and injuries, made it a hard going season. Thanks to Tass, George and Louis for their help and to the players from the 16’s that came up, but towards the end of the second round it was too much and this took it's toll on the team missing out on the finals. All in all there was much development and improvement in the players. This will hold them in good stead for 2011. www.sydneyolympicfc.com/news/2010/09/03/sydney-olympic-fc-2010-season-review-under-18s/

Sydney Olympic FC 2010 Season Review: Under 20's
posted by on Sept. 7, 2010
The 20’s team was assembled by the coach David Magrone and manager Dean Harritton.
From the beginning, this team looked the goods, during most of the first round they were always near the top of the table.
Playing some outstanding football but then there was a period where the coach went overseas and the 18’s coach Toni Candy assisted during this period and had a string of good results.
Following the permanent move of the coach to Europe, Toni and Jim took over and if it wasn’t for certain players leaving at a crucial time of the season and add the injuries this team had, we would have won the minor premiership and as we all know, it went so close at the grand final.
Thanks for the help from the 18’s players that came up, to the first graders that helped out at the semis and to Ian Crook for his valuable assistance.

Sydney Olympic FC 2010 Season Review: Under 16's
posted by on Sept. 3, 2010
Sydney Olympic U16s team proved to be a force in the 2010 premier youth league competition.
Team discipline, structure and never say die attitude was the core of the success which is testament to the coaching team and players throughout the campaign.
Given that more than half the team’s players were from lower divisions this had no bearing their skill and determination to be competitive in such a difficult competition.
The effort shown by all players during training and match day could not be faulted as 100% commitment was shown at all times.
This resulting in a top 4 finish in the league, a huge improvement from previous years.
The difficult circumstance of playing all our home games away was a huge disadvantage.
Knowing that home ground advantage is such a crucial part in picking up vital points may have been the difference in finishing within the top 3 and maybe Minor premiers.
We are very proud of the teams achievements both collectively and individually and a proud to have been involved with a truly die hard squad. The dressing room chanting of the famous O-L-Y-M-P-I-C after a win will not be forgotten.
