The list of clubs the FFA has had to bail out now include:
HAKOA Brisbane Newcastle Adelaide Perth Central Coast Nth Qld
And then we had the Auckland team fold
What a disgrace.
When has Olympic, Sth Melb, Melb Knights, Syd Utd, APIA, Melita, Brunswick, Heidelberg, Adelaide City, West Adelaide, etc ever asked for financial help from the ASF or SoccerAustralia.
SO in the end, who is more financially viable???

Very true.
Gay Leagueclubs have argued that NSL clubs were losing money and were in financial trouble...But the fact remains that none ever asked for financial assistance. They folded.
So why doesn't the Gay Leaguejust allow the defective clubs fold? It's because then they would need to replace them. The problem then is that as soon as financial backers see that buying into an Gay Leaguefranchise is a poor investment decision there would be no clubs to replace them with but the older State league clubs.
The FFA is not merely backing the clubs financially. The FFA are doing everything possible to prevent the older clubs from reaching top flight again.

Simple as, he should have put the money into Olympic rather than the Jets. Never too late..................... Firstly, it's his money...he can burn it if he wants too! Secondly, my understanding is that the money that he gives to Olympic is purely "personal". i.e. he does it for no other reward other than his love for Olympic. The money that goes into the Jets is a business venture that is simply not performing. Bid difference between the two. Mr Inde

Agreed. Funding Newcastle was expected to make a return for him...instead it's bleeding him. Then again, I don't think football is profitable outside of Europe's larger clubs.
