It was funny when the Gay Leaguefirst formed, all the anti-NSL, pro-Gay Leaguepeople on the internet forums were saying how the Gay Leaguewill survive, and one day, soccer may even overtake the AFL in popularity in this country, lol

Considering the far extra money that Lowy and the FFA has to promote the A-League, compare to the money the NSL had, plus Australia making 2 of the last World Cups, the FFA have done a fairly poor job, considering the Gay Leaguehas not really surpasses the NSL in the long term and is struggling right now. |

Despite all the negative press surrounding the A-League, it is good to see Newcastle back up and running. They have certainly sorted out their future, and Nathan Tinkler seems to be desperate to make the club a community club.
