Despite all the negative press surrounding the A-League, it is good to see Newcastle back up and running. They have certainly sorted out their future, and Nathan Tinkler seems to be desperate to make the club a community club. The future of this individual club is irrelevant. There will always be a Newcastle side in the top flight....they would just change the name. Newcastle Breakers > Newcastle United > Newcastle United Jets.

It was absolutely terrible, the weather.

Newcastle has always been a region with immense support, however, the owners of all Newcastle teams have never considered the club to be a community club. Nathan Tinkler has changed that, and hopefully crowds will pick up, to levels of what was seen in 2007/08. The club under Tinkler is totally different to what the club was under Constantine. Con never reached out into the community, unlike Tinkler. He was always caught up in a controversy.

It was absolutely terrible, the weather. Its irrelevant, the fact remains the crowd was piss poor and joffa on fft has lied to people saying there was 6k pre-sold i have info from inside ffa confirming it was only 500 pre -sol plus season passes. So tafos to the fury and cant wait for gold coast sick crowd. And why is it ok fro brisbane roar to be backed by a dutch club if this comes off is that not ethnic? This will fail regardless look at the history of Northern Spirit with Rangers

sounds like time for us to show everyone what we're made of! compared to cove we dont have the numbers so i reckon we should be more accepting of the A-league. lol that is one of the dumbest things i have ever heard re file, so because the nazi's were wipping out the jews the jews should of stopped beeing jews? Or because turkey invaded greece the greeks should of becames greeks? Or because they tell us in the media the NRL is the world game should we follow it? Think about it champ, and dont run from who u are embrace it because if you run then your a weasel and i know ur not that

I just stated above that Newcastle will always have a side in the NSL so their future is secure no matter what.
