Absolute rubbish paoktzi.
Perth Glory has always had its fans, always a solid core support. Do you see the difference is that when Perth are succeeding they get wonderful crowds, however when they are playing below par, they do drop off. Is this a coincidence? I don't think so. We've seen when they are succeeding they can get crowds of excess of 16,000. It was seen earlier this season.
Also, for those of you who think the clubs of the Gay Leagueare near dead and buried, think again. Only the future of North QLD is in doubt, and even then, they look as though their future will be secured in the coming weeks.
Adelaide United- Rumours in Adelaide and the advertiser is that they are in deep talks with potential investors, and will be announced soon.
Brisbane Roar- FC Utrecht backers will arrive in Australia soon to finalise the deal.
Newcastle Jets- Do I need to say more? Nathan Tinkler has just jumped on board. Already, they look to be the best run club in the league, as well with Central Coast.

relax re mikey for every positive you post you get 5 negatives against you, dont think we dont love football and dont want it to succeed.
But frank has said to everyone in australia football will only work my way.
He came in to do these things
- bring back soceroos in there prime
- improve the level of football
- make soccer number 1 code and get massive attendances
- 1 owner clubs to make profits
Now what do we have
- socerooos coming back at ends of there careers, like before
- playing level at a lesser quality ask football people they second that
- still 4th biggest code nothing has chnaged
- all clubs are running loses and bankrupted and this professional league is slashing budgest and firing people daily.
So why should we follow what he wants? When he kicked us all out because we are not anglos?

So that says a lot about it now. ela re Mikey Paoktzi has put forward a very clever way of approaching the issues and some strong points, the only one you feel that u can challenge is that the Gay Leaguestandard is higher? cmon man.. from what ive been hearing from a large number ex-NSL players, ex-FIFA referees, former and current coaches and administrators is that the Gay Leagueis faster-paced but technically inferior to the NSL in the 90s, to the NSL in the 80s, to the NSL in the 70s (because unlike how today's media depict the former competition it had different stages in its existence it wasnt just a monolithic competition of fail) okay thats opinion. But again in all honesty I have not heard any long-time football experts or those that have been involved in the game tell me face to face that the Gay Leagueis a better league than the NSL. Its easy for Fozzy to get paid to tell people on TV that it is but its different to what many very knowledgeable football people say in person. that smacks to me of consensus. to me, the argument that the Gay Leagueis better quality football than the NSL is "football in Australia began in 2005"-itis. Its just like saying that we were all monkeys swinging on trees until our sport was saved by Frank Lowy. Duck Tales.. might solve a mystery, might rewrite history |

Why is Utrect a dutch side allowed to buy a large part of an aussie club.
But Australian Croatians who live in Australia are not allowed to have an Gay Leagueside, explain this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mikey, not taking it out on you but your arguments i dont agree with at all and im explaining why I can see where you are coming from, but the FFA want to broaden all these clubs from all branches into one team. Some may reject the idea, but with persistence, it will come off. The bottom line is, paoktzi, that the FFA have moved on from NSL clubs, in regards to a top tier league. As much as you, and others, dislike it... that is the bottom line. These clubs will have their time in the sun, down the track, however, the timing needs to be right. Whether this is via an A2-League or not, that is another question. |
