Yes but we need a club next to the ground.

It would be better if BSG was a Sydney Olympic asset. Then again, we have it for 25 years, who knows what the future will bring. I think that with a club next to it and a car park facility the stadium would be massive and ripe for an upgrade to an all seater stadium.

I recall someone telling a few of us that we were also given Valentine park (before it was developed) but the committee didnt want to pay for the up keep. It eventually went to SOCCERNSW who sold the surrounding areas for millions and were left with the current setup. There are too many stories like this unfortunately. But we dont know what the circumstances were like back then for them to reject such offers.

Leaving the park was a night mare it took long lucky the Club Sydney Olympic always had police officers controlling the traffic I was lucky with my dad because my uncle was living in Brighton we use to leave the car at his driveway and walking down in a hot summer nights Those were the days of my life

Sydney Olympic as a club doesnt have a social club..

It works out better that way imo.

ohh i think imo instead of olympic investing in a 25 year deal they should invest in creating a soccer field and social club so after the games everyone comes to the club just like bonno and united

mini, Olympic didn't buy Fraser Park because it wasn't up to NSL standards. This meant that we also needed another ground to play our home games. Fraser would have been for training only.

i cant remember the full story but Olympic had the chance to buy the old Apia Club while they were playing at Leichhardt Oval instead as they did with other opportunities they rejected it & so the La Montage people bought it
now as a waterfront in the inner west it has alot of value

Bay23 first the balmain tigers had the opportunity to buy but rejected as they already had a club then olympic had the option..Again another missed opportunity..
Anyways soccer in this country will have a huge shakeup in the coming years..You heard it here first.
