Kosmos says that they had till 4pm yesterday to confirm if they want in or boycott.

The South Coast Wolves' proposal for a summer competition for the NSW Premier League is off the table for the time being.
This decision was made at a Football NSW meeting in Sydney on Tuesday night.

Wolves director Vic Cuoco attended the meeting and said Football Federation Australia is in the process of undertaking a review of the whole football system for all states at senior, junior and women's levels.

"So they wouldn't sanction our proposed summer competition," Cuoco said.

"We will now kick off our season at the end of March 2011."

Cuoco said the FFA did not want anyone jumping ship before they could fully evaluate football in the whole of the country.

"The Victorian Federation came up with a proposed model but the FFA wants to look at the entire country and how football is situated right across the nation.

"Rather than have each state come up with something different, the FFA wants to make a complete assessment.

"The evaluation will be completed by March next year.

"However, we didn't want to hold back a decision on the NSW Premier League until then.

"So the majority of clubs decided it was best to go back to a winter competition and that is looking to start in late March 2011.

"Other considerations still to be determined will be whether to play semi-finals or not, or be first past the post."

Cuoco said with the decision to go back to a winter competition, a first-past-the-post system next year would minimise the costs for clubs.

The Wolves will be playing their home games at Crehan Park, Cringila.

Yep, my sources were correct (nearly always are).. and I applaud Olympic's stance. I hope the Board doesn't buckle like the other eleven gutless wonders calling themselves clubs..

haha on monday night the 12 nswpl clubs were united in standing up to FNSW and a day later nearly all do the acrobat backflip a-la FNSW.

apparently george giannaros is meeting with lowy and buckley later today to, in my words, serve it up to the pair.

i hope he gives them plenty.. and hope he doesn't hold back.
