Tsanidis, Hadder and Bramber! Sydney Olympic is happy to announce further signings for the 2011 season. The coach of the Club Mr Peter Tsekenis scrutinized players before choosing them as his objective is to select not only quality players on the ground but also individuals that are hard working and have an ambition to achieve the goals of our historic Club. Tod Bamber the 22 year old striker that came from AFC Liverpool towards the end of last season and scored some important goals for our Club has signed his new contract with Sydney Olympic as our coach believes that he can make the difference this season. Tod was happy to be back and mentioned to the Sydney Olympic media: “Last year I signed towards the end of the season and did not have the chance to show my full potential. This year I will follow the whole of the pre-season training with Olympic and I am looking forward to having a great season”. Ibrahim Haydar, a 22 year old defender played for Peter Tsekenis last season at Bankstown City Lions and his devotion and hard working attitude persuaded our Coach to offer him a position in the new Sydney Olympic squad that is being built for the 2011 Season. Whilst talking to our staff he mentioned that he admired Peter Tsekenis even as a player and he will do everything to meet the potential of the coaching staff. Bill Tsanidis is another young defender that played for Peter Tsekenis at Bankstown and he will be remembered for his brilliant goal on his debut against Sutherland Sharks. The 21 year old is also a player that is known for his dedication and his comments were: “I am glad to be part of this historic Club and I am looking forward to meeting the expectations of the supporters of the Club”. With the three players announced above, this brings the official signings of our Club to 14 and further players will be announced very soon before the first training of the Club for 2011 that is scheduled in for tonight. www.sydneyolympicfc.com/news/2011/01/12/tod-bamberibrahim-haydar--bill-tsanidis-have-signed-for-sydney-olympic/

More signings: Sydney Olympic can announce a further two signings for the 2011 season that brings the total players of the first grade to 16, with more to come. Nenad Vekic (left photo) is a 21 year old goalkeeper that played last season for Bonnyrigg White Eagles and also played for HAKOA youth but he gladly accepted the position offered to him by Peter Tsekenis to play for Sydney Olympic. Nenad is a talented goalkeeper and the coaching staff believe he can become one of the best keeper in the competition. Nenad could not hide his appreciation to the coaching staff and promised to do his best to meet their expectations. Alex Smith (right photo) is a 25 year old attacking midfielder that played last season for Fraser Park. Alex has a dual English-American nationality and played in the US for FC Dallas with this career highlight the game between Dallas FC and Tigers of Mexico in front of 25.000 people. Alex was extremely happy to sign for Sydney Olympic and he said: “I’m glad to be part of this historic Club and I am looking forward to playing at Belmore Sports Ground in front of our fans. I am sure this will be a great season for me personally and the Club too. I will do my best as I want to succeed and win trophies.” The Board of the Club would like to wish the two players all the best with Sydney Olympic in the 2011 season. www.sydneyolympicfc.com/news/2011/01/14/two-more-signings-for-sydney-olympic-fc/
