The word is spreading that the club is close to reaching a deal with Peter Tsekenis, retiring player-coach of rivals Bankstown and a former international an Olympic player.
Interesting news, what does eerybody think? From what I've heard it seems a popular choice, he has played for our jersey and is in the loop with his experiences at Bankstown, he should have a following that will boost our squad for 2011.

i HATE Tsekenis with a passion, and his little side kick. It will take a long time for me to accept someone who has chanted MAKEDONIJA with the Skopjiani. But this is the most popular rumour coming out that he is coming to us...
I'll only be slightly satisfied if he retains the services of Doumanis, Makrys and brings in Liavas as well from Bankstown. Time will heal my hatred towards him.

If he comes to Olympic I want to see how he tackles Bankstown. Then I'll make my decision whether I like him or not.

I think this is a positive move.
A quality player, ex international, up coming coach and he loves the club, he wore the olympic jersey for 9 years.
He understands the NSWPL as good as any and he is an upcoming aussie coach.
What more can we ask for.
I hear the deal is rumoured to be around $40k per annum

Everyone has forgotten Ian Crook, i heard today he is the other one in the picture.
But for me close the deal with tseka and let all the fans be happy

Hey mini, if raskopoulos and Branko had not done the dirty on tseka he would never have left Olympic. If you think you know the full story please let me know. Just because he supported the club that paid his wages that makes it ok for you to hate him? Get over it. Tseka is a class person and a class coach with alot of experience in the NSWPL and will bring some good players with him. But im sure that if he does not win his first few games the club will be ready to sack him, especially with so much hate coming from the so called ultras who are supposed to be the die hard fanatics of the club.
Go Tseka show em all and shut them up.

I'm Greek first, and an Ultra second.
He sang Makedonija with the Skopjiani, must I say more? I hate him for this reason alone, like I would with any other Greek that would do it!

How long have you been follwoing Olympic Rigas, and were have you been over the last 5 years? |
