There has been alot of talk and discussion who will be the coach of SYDNEY OLYMPIC next year. 1.Peter Tsekenis 2. Ian Crook/John O'connor 3 Milan Blagojevic.
If we had to get the book makers involved it would be Peter Tsekenis the favorite.
But at the end of the day I don't care who it is as long we can get descent players and sweat for our Olympic jersey and get some results on field.

Paoktzi everyone good news.
Sydney Olympic is proud to announce that Ian Crook has accepted the offer to take on the role of Director of Coaching for the Club for the remainder of the season.
The 47 year old former professional footballer has an impressive resume on and off the football grounds.
‘Chippy’ as he is known began his career at Tottenham Hotspur when he was still a schoolboy and made his debut against Liverpool in 1980, playing for the Club for 6 years before moving to Norwich City where he became part of the most successful team Norwich ever had.
He played for Norwich for 11 seasons and reached the top 5 of the English Premier League, also playing a number of times in the UEFA Cup with his Club.
In 1997, he was signed by Eddie Thomson for Sanfrecce Hiroshima. He left the club in May 1998 and transferred to Northern Spirit FC.
Ian has been voted by fourfourtwo magazine as one of the best players that did not play for England and also in 2002 Norwich fans voted Crook into the Norwich City F.C. Hall of Fame.
Ian then played for and coached Northern Spirit FC in Australia before moving on to take his first managerial post at Newcastle Jets, taking the Jets from second last to second, which earned him NSL Coach of the year honours.
Following his successful time in Newcastle, Crook took on the job of coaching the American Samoa national football team, a team which till that time, had never scored a goal in a competitive international fixture.
In early 2004 he was then appointed assistant coach for the Australian U20s team, before joining Sydney F.C. the following November, under manager Pierre Littbarski, winning the inaugural Gay Leaguetitle and attending the World Club Championships in 2005.
On 21 January 2009 Crook was unveiled as first team coach for Norwich City alongside new manager and former team mate Bryan Gunn and completed the season with the League One trophy for the Canaries at Carrow Road.
We wish Ian all the best with Sydney Olympic and firmly believe that he will exceed all the expectations of our loyal fans.

Malaka, of course that's kinda it, he's only in his late 30's, that's very young for a top coach. And of course it's only it, cause how many seasons has he been coaching Bankstown

FYI, Tsekenis' first NSWPL coaching gig was at Bankstown.
I don't know if I want Kalac in goals for Olympic....we had Bosnic and that didn't turn out too great....we need a good defense which won't let shots through, then we have more choice on goalkeeper.

Tsekenis heart lies with Olympic. He had his debut with Olympic at the age of 17 went on to captain the team when they were arguably the best team in the NSL. This guy bled for Olympic which is more than i can say for Crook and Blag, although i thought blag was very good for Olympic in his day.
