The Youth League Finals start this weekend. We have 13s through to 16s playing this Saturday at Park Lea. Can we expect the Ultra's to make an appearance? The youth boys deserve some recognition for all the hard work put through this season. My favourites are the u16s who were touted the duds of the Club and "will be lucky to win 2 games", WELL didn't we shut them up!!! 4th spot, and a real chance at going all the way. 16s kick off at 1:45pm Field 2. Let's get as many supporters there for the boys. BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OF THE OLYMPIC TEAMS THIS WEEKEND.

Ultras will not be making an appearance because not once this whole season has one player from sydney olympic youth joined the ultras to support first grade, i am very angry about this and inturn the boys dont deserve the ultra support.
Thats my view guys

i dont agree, who among us talked to any of these guys? i spoke to some 15s and they said theyd join ultras, then didnt. If we're going to be angry at any of these kids itd be people who say one thing then do another.
Sure it was hard to miss us at games, we were the only people making noise in the whole competition basically but the its not just the YL players fault in my opinion
paoktzi sure i see where youre coming from, you may have a point but we cant just get angry at these guys. Instead we gotta make them change their minds, what are we going to do to with that in mind?
I will try my best to be there tomorrow!

Thank You anothermp.. I am disappointed with your response paoktzi.. If the Ultras really wanted the Youth to join they should have been a bit more pro-active! It was also very noticeable to many of the parents that there was a fair bit of swearing in your chants...not a great example to the Youth. If you support the Club, then you support it as a whole, not just First Grade! How many First Grade siblings, cousins, nephews etc joined the Ultras this year?

Hollywood we are all trying our best !! through numbers we are strong but when the first grade doesnt perform on the field in front of us it becomes a challenge to stay disciplined in so many ways.. when we see a big group of ultras in round 5, then see less and less by round 15.. these bad habits start to kick in all us with regards to swearing, attending, singing..
how do we break the habit? how do we help?
.. if everyone can, then all we have to do is a little bit each.
CMON OLYMPIC TMRW!!

A lot of the kids have been approached and have proven that they do not care about the club but themselves, this has disappointed me very very much.
How many of the kids we have spoken to through facebook and all of them feel they are to important to be ultras, very very sad.
This is a major act of disrespect towards the club.
In regards to the swearing every single one of these children swear at school at training and in the grandstands not a valid point.
Sydney Olympic FC is a community and a club that represents over 500,000 people in sydney, it all comes to a point with first grade that is what football is designed for.
So again I was hurt myself when I wrote that post yesterday but it is the truth.
Happy to discuss this further because the youth and the ultras is a must, but what are we meant to do, pay the children to come with us? There love for olympic must previal

U13's lost to Berries 2-1, and will go on and play now Manly.
U14's beat Sutherland Sharks and will go on to play Marconi for a spot in the Grand Final.
U15's were meant to play Sutherland Sharks, but the game got postponed due to Sutherland participating in some Cup in England.
U16's lost to Sydney United and are eliminated.
U18's didn't make it.
U20's/Reserve Grade play Sydney United today.
Good luck to the Reserve Grade!!!

OLYMPIC ULTRAS supports its club and its community
let's make 2011 bigger and better for all in the Olympic family
we would love to have the youth teams on board and hope to win their support over the finals series and in the leadup to 2011
who will help us? Who will step up? They will become legends of Sydney Olympic when our club needed heroes the most

If we support them, maybe some of them will come and support us next season. It's give and take.
