Round 13: Sydney Olympic FC vs. Blacktown City FC

NSWPL table leaders Sydney Olympic FC will play their Round 13 fixture at 3pm on Sunday 19 June, against 2010 defending Champions Blacktown City FC at Belmore Sports Ground.
Sydney Olympic FC are eager to maintain and increase their lead on the Premier League Table, after defeating South Coast Wolves in last weekend’s Round 12 clash 2-1. Goals to captain Phil Makrys and Tod Bamber secured the victory for the ‘Blues’ in their first home game of the season. Olympic are now four points ahead of second place Sutherland Sharks, on 26 points and will be seeking another victory to extend their lead , in front of their loyal supporters.
The Round 13 fixture will commence at 3pm with the Reserve Grade game kicking off at 1pm and the under 18’s at 11.00am.

Please be reminded that due to the reconstruction a number of changes have been implemented, entrance to the Belmore Sports Ground will be from Waverley St and NOT from the main gate. Please click HERE for further details on these changes.
Mark Crittenden’s Blacktown City FC, are currently sitting in third position on 20 points, 6 points behind ‘table toppers’ Sydney Olympic FC. In their Round 12, clash against 2nd place Sutherland Sharks an own goal secured a 1 nil victory for Crittenden’s men. Though their spirits will be high, Blacktown City FC will be eager to gain redemption against the ‘Blues’ after being defeated in their recent Waratah Cup fixture 3-0.
Everybody’s favourite ‘Blues’ are in 1st position on the NSWPL table and have had 8 wins, 2 losses and 2 draws from their 12 games. Whilst Blacktown City FC is in 3rd position and has had 6 wins, 4 losses and 2 draws from their 12 games.
Midfielder’s Luke Roodenburg and Milorad Simonovic will be one’s to watch for the opposition whilst for the ‘Blues’ the swift Will Angel will definitely be one to watch after last weekend’s performance, as well as, the experienced and skilful Chris Triantis.
