Congratulations to the coaching staff of Sydney Olympic FC

The Board of Sydney Olympic FC would like to congratulate the coaching staff of both the Under 18s and the 1st grade teams for their achievement not only on the Grand Final yesterday but throughout the season.
The Under 18s had a great season where they finished 3rd on the table with 12 wins, 6 losses and 4 draws. Credit needs to be given to the previous coaching staff, Mr George Markos and Tass Markos but also to Dean Mangnall and Tony Stavropoulos that finished off the season with a tremendous effort from the whole team
First grade has had an amazing season and Peter Tsekenis together with Peter Papoythis winning the Minor Premiership with 13 wins, 5 losses and 7 draws and following beating Sydney United twice in the Major Semi Final and the Grand Final to be crowned 2011 Champions. Their relentless effort throughout the season paid off and the Directors of the Club appreciate their hard work.
Once again congratulations from everyone involved in Sydney Olympic and we hope many more successful days will follow.

F&ck it I will say it. I played for Sydney Olympic from the under 13s all the way every year up to reserve grade. I retired the year olympic 1st grade won the grand final in Perth. Back then Urukalo was the reserve grade coach. He was the most corrupt biggest f$ckwit in soccer. He turned me off soccer and made me hate my team. After so many years, work, study, having a family I thought I would go back and watch Olympic play. My first time back was at Belmore this season against manly ( we lost) and have not missed a game since. Very happy for the club and I love my team!!
