Had a look at his player-bio on wiki and I can see that he only ever played for Greek clubs here in Oz. So I guess not... I think I remember reading one bloke saying he was cousins with him and that he was Maco but it always seemed unusual considering the last name
Guess it could be the mum thing

The guy is 100% Greek. He comes from the Macedonia region of Greece and one night some blockhead thought it would be good to claim he's a Macedonian. Pretty much sums out up how deluded they are.
