United need to win the last game of the season as they were behind by two points, if they won the last game they would win the comp.
The team they were playing in the last game was Olympic coached by manfred shafer captained by raskopoulos!
Patikas was playing for United and had a fight with rasko, the fight went public as patikas said were going to fuck olympic.
Raskopoulos then said the to the Olympic fans we know if we beat United Hakoa wins the comp but no one says fuck Olympic so lets give it to them!
Olympic smashed em 3-0
Can someone confirm this story?

1999/2000 NSL Season, last round, Olympic 3-0 United, Sydney United got the wooden spoon.
Hakoah last won the NSL in 1982, United came into the NSL in 1984.
The story could be true but in different circumstances to what you wrote

I can't stand Hakoah, never did, never will. They call themselves HAKOA these days.

Do you any of you boys remember the "skin heads" that supported Sydney City Hakoah ? A bigger pack of MALAKES I have never seen. They got the crapped kicked out of them on more than one occasion from the Olympic fans.

I remember the skins heads. I actually went to high school with 1 of them. He was not a bad bloke. Everyone hated Sydney City. They were tough and played dirty at times with players like O'Connor, Barnes, Kosmina, Gomez, etc but they were successful winning 4 titles in 10 years. I remember garbage bins being thrown onto the field at ES Marks Field and some Greek throwing his chunky platform shoes at the Sydney City dugout at St George Stadium after the ref gave a wrong decision. (ah the good old days)
One of the greatest games was when we beat them 2-1 at St George Stadium (1984 I think) in the Northern Div grand final in extra time after game finished 0-0 with Soper and Mike Coady (I think) who scored.
I seem to recall an incident (some of the older forum people might be able to confirm) where Kosmina pulled out of a game against Sth Melbourne as he had elbowed a Hellas player (can't remember his name) in the first round and the story was he got death threats if he went down to Middle Park to play in the second round so he pulled out.
After Sydney City pulled the skinheads started following St George.

One of them was a Greek. I saw him get chased out of ES Marks Field at Moorepark during one game. We couldn't stop laughing when a couple of old Greek men yelled out to him, Tha se gamisoume pousti" and then he went running like a girl, then the Greeks with the police right behind them. Pissed ourselves with laughter. Ah, the good old days.
