Somebody correct me if im wrong, but did Politis as head of Olympic decide to punt Gary Phillips as coach who won the NSL in '02 for Olympic was then dumped in the '03 season even though Olympic was flying and appointed Sterrey to coach Olympic for the rest of the year, subsequently Olympic lost the Grand Final in '03 vs Perth worst decision to give the reins of a great side to Lee Sterrey of all people

Politis was a prick. He must be, he follows the roosters.

He doesn't follow the roosters, he owns the roosters.

The 'Blues' to tackle the Stallions posted by on April 19, 2012 After sharing the spoils in Round 3 of the competition, Sydney Olympic FC will travel to Marconi Stadium on Saturday 21st April 2012, to take on long-time rivals Marconi Stallions, with kick off scheduled at 7 pm. The long stading rivalry between the two clubs began years ago in the National State League and has rightfully continued throughout the NSW Premier League competition, as both clubs battle for supremacy. Last weekend the 'Blues' travelled to Blacktown Football Park and escaped with a point , after they obtained a 2-2 draw with the NSW Premier League's newest outfit, the Blacktown Spartans. Sydney Olympic began the fixture on the back foot, as Chris Bedzo provided the home side with an early lead in the 4th minute, before Kutaiba Elrich evened the score prior to the half time whistle. The home side retaliated in the 2nd stanza and celebrated a second goal courtesy of Louis Bozanic, despite both sides being reduced to 10 men. Olympics' centre back, Blaz Dejanovic put a damper on the Spartans' celebrations, as he volleyed home an equaliser for the 'Blues'. Whilst, shot-stopper, Paul Henderson issued a 'man of the match' performance and delivered several consecutive saves to enable the 'Blues' to share the three points. This weekend, the 'Blues' will welcome back defender David Dascal, who served his one match suspension but will be without last weekend's goal scorer Kutaiba Elrich who received two yellow cards and will serve an automatic one game suspension, with his replacement yet to be decided by the 2011 NSW Premier League Coach of the Year, Peter Tsekenis. The Marconi Stallions currently sit in 2nd position on the ladder and have yet to be defeated in the 2012 season. Last weekend, Marconi obtained a score less 0-0 draw with Parramatta FC and were unable to put away their chances. Parramatta FC were reduced to 10 men in the 57th minute and were happy to park the bus and play on the counter-attack, a style which, Stallions coach Luke Casserly was expecting. Casserly was disappointed with the outcome but was impressed with his side's defensive record and hopes that the Stallions maintain their undefeated streak, when they meet the 'Blues' this Saturday. One to watch for the Stallions is former Gold Coast United midfielder, Daniel Severino who is regarded as a set piece king and specialist. Whilst, Aman Hadid will aim to get his first goal for the 'Blues' this weekend, at Marconi Stadium. The Sydney Olympic FC Reserve Grade side will also be in action on Saturday and will kick off at 5 pm, at Marconi Stadium. With the Sydney Olympic FC Reserve Grade side, searching for their first win of the 2012 season. www.sydneyolympicfc.com/news/2012/04/19/the-blues-to-tackle-the-stallions/

Marconi 0-1 Olympic FT. Awad '89
High quality match
Both sides showed why they will be up there come the business end
But lack of finishing hurt both sides
Crowd 1500
Fun fact: Someone actually through a flare from the road behind the Marconi goals, not pointing any fingers but quite possibly a Croat who cant get enough of Olympic
