Due to commercial conflicts Football NSW has made the decision to discontinue our involvement in the Manchester United Premier Cup.

Football NSW would hope players and supporters alike appreciate that sponsors are difficult to gain and we have an obligation to ensure we adhere to our contractual arrangements with them.

Football NSW would like to thank the organisers of the Manchester United Premier Cup for the fantastic opportunities given to the Marconi Stallions and Sutherland Sharks in representing Oceania in the UK against the world’s best talent.

The decision is an insurance one, last year in England an Australian player broke hes leg to the point where he may not walk again and as such this year the people who run this comp can not offer insurance so as a duty of care FNSW has pulled out of the comp, after what happened last year you can see why
