A rare classic PHILLIPS NATIONAL SOCCER LEAGUE match in 1979 It was round six featuring our beloved team SYDNEY OLYMPIC vs KB Newcastle United.
It was Telecast on Network TEN Australia on Monday nights 10:30pm that year.
This was before Network 0-28/SBS was launched in 1980.
Unfortunatly we lost but it was a passion it was the people game playing at the International Sports Centre (ISC) with crowd attendance of 18,367 In Newcastle. i
