Midgley happy to be back 25.11.10 14:29
Manly United head coach Craig Midgley expressed his delight upon going through the club’s first stages of pre-season training as it commenced on last Tuesday.
Midgley stated that the decision from moving the NSW Premier League competition from summer back to winter took a toll on his players who were all happy to have kick started their seasons once more.
``It is great to finally have an answer, now I can start recruiting what players I want in our top squad.
``I have spoken to quite a few of the boys and they are buzzing.
``The aim is to get into a regular training pattern before Christmas and then in January increase the tempo,” Midgley stated to the ‘Manly Daily’.
Manly will sport a number of new faces as Midgley has lost some key services with the likes of Andrew Mailer and Keith Shevlin who are rumoured to be signing with the Marconi Stallions while skipper Joey Schirripa (work), goalkeeper Brad Swancott (retired) and midfielder Roberto Hamad (overseas) have all moved on.
