Capped nine times in the early 1990's, the 42-year-old has focused on developing a business career upon his retirement from football in 2002 and it a regular SBS football analyst. "I believe the challenges of new football requires a fresh energy and vision for the future...one that is inclusive of all the diverse stakeholders as well as the rich past and heritage of old soccer," Taliadoros said. "My overwhelming priority is to unite the Football New South Wales family in order to do this." Taliadoros's words have grabbed much support from "old" soccer fans who have found themselves neglected under the Frank Lowy regime which has also created much division between football fans in Australia. Taliadoros will run against current President James Forrest in a two-horse race, with the vote on Saturday 11 December.
