Paoktzi, the argument isn't about platform. Yes Olympic provided a platform for Shannon Cole but even if we hadn't he would have been picked up anyway. As stated before he was already playing in the NSWPL....Olympic didn't even discover his talent, we just made a transfer.

Players are produced by there families, many many coaches and other factors clubs have less than 5% of input and if you pick certain clubs which part of that development is more important? from 5-7 or from 8-12 or from 17-21? were do you drop the line? Lets accept the content for what it is, one of our boys that's played NSWPL and Gay Leagueand that says from his experience there's there's pretty much no difference quality wise |

It's because they DO have a big input into the player's development. It's no coincidence that the likes of United, Knights and Marconi have consistently churned out great footballers. That's not to say that there arent any other influences, I've already stated that |
