soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/947277/kyrgiakos-leaves-liverpool-for-wolfsburg?cc=3436Liverpool's summer of transfer business continues with the news that VfL Wolfsburg confirmed the signing of Liverpool's Sotirios Kyrgiakos on a two-year deal. The Greek international, signed in the summer of 2009 by Rafael Benitez in something of a stop-gap signing for £1.5 million, ended up making 49 appearances for the Reds. He departs the Anfield scene despite having signed a new deal earlier this year, though that came as a result of a clause in his previous contract, and is expected to replace Roma-bound Simon Kjaer in Wolfsburg's defence. Kyrgiakos's departure leaves Kenny Dalglish short of cover in central defence though Martin Kelly can switch from full-back. Liverpool have been linked with moves for Gary Cahill, Ryan Shawcross and Scott Dann during this transfer window. ---- good luck to him at Wolfsburg, he was a fucking beast at Liverpool.
