what about cash strapped businessmen ? would any of these guys be willing to throw in the big bucks
2 million a year i believe would only be for franchises, they woudnt give two fucks about wog clubs
would say your choice to be in the comp u find a way to survive
cant olympic apply to the FFA to be apart of the comp ? didnt knights and south melb do that

What millionaire would come in and say "hi guys I'm ready to losemoney for years to create a franchise that everybody will either hate or not care about.three times they've tried in 7 years a t least, failed miserably each time We are the next Sydney team into the a-league Bravo - although you cannot be 100% certain - this is a BIG deterrant. Ok guys - I just want to key you all in on the broad strategy here.
First of all - all your inputs are important. If you have an idea - put it on here.
Many of you are savvy tech smart young guys (not like us old farts) - you know what appeals.
The strategy must be clear, concise and simple. Think outside the box - cost effective smart projects.
Paoktzi - first and foremost - please let the Olympic board aware of what we are doing. They can feel free to review our plans and strategies - and to be aware.
Now this is about pacing yourself. Like studying for an exam - you you go too hard - too early you burn yourself out. Or sex - go to hard to early and you (or she) gets dissapointed.
I have projects in mind - but we will not role them out at once. We need to also brain storm a little more.
Basically the drive and initiatives will come under 3 main categories or three plans of attack.
1) Tech Savvy
* Initiatives like facebook, twitter, anything online.
2) Physical
* This include things like pamphlet drops, stickers, mail outs - good old fashion rolling up the sleeves and getting out there.
3) Personal
* This is important. This is showing perspective fans that we are a family and we are happy for them to join. It can be a booth on March 25th, BBQ - or even something as simple as for one game - have a march through the Belmore to the ground. If you can get 30 people plus - it will make a real statement. It shows people that we are a grass roots team who represent our area. It shows them that we are real - more then a group they read or hear about.
Finally - I think we should take on board some of Chris the journos comments. If we build something the rivalry with SFC will develop organically. People will start talking. He made a good point that if we go out there - saying f*ck SFC f*ck the Cove - we are not actually offering prospective fans anything. We are not actually promoting Olympic.
So lets all be smart about it. If you want rivalry - create an argument. Dont be in peoples face all the time. If your online - state the benefits of having Olympic in the comp.
Rise above the mud slinging and people will start to listen to your argument.

Just a quick message to inform you of the initial projects here.
* Make contact with Western Front - plus any other fan groups we think may be of interest
* Add some info to our Twitter and Facebook sites - Olympic for the A-league.
Lets get these things going - get people talking - refer your mates to them - and we go from there.
These are the first steps - we do it methodically and clearly so there is no confusion - otherwise you end up copping the Kuratz!
