A great signal of intent and way to draw attention to our cause would be to get a bay at SFS filled with Olympic fans - singing and chanting during a HAKOA game. You will need at least 100 people for it to be effective though but it will make a statement. even 50 would be massive. i really like this idea id love to keep chanting while those poustides are lining up for beers Yes exactly - chant non stop show them what passion is. What we need to do guys is put it firmly in every HAKOA fans mind that we Olympic are their main rival in Sydney. We need to build this rivalry to show all football fans - including the FFA that Olympic are SFC's main rival - it already exists! With this in mind we set a date. If Sydney Olympic play HAKOA later this year - we go nuts on the promotion, getting the word out. Building the excitement. We aim for 10,000 people at the game. We dont just do this from the week before. We have a plan that goes for months - getting people on board slowly. The week of the game we pull out all stops - getting Greek media to write articles - even guys like Mike Cockerill. We will make such a statement that the FFA will have to take notice.

No. Refuse to go to SFS to watch HAKOA. if we are strong enough to make that kind of statement then it would be worth it. Imagine the embarrassment FFA and HAKOA would face of it happened. Nobody said anything about going to the SFS to watch HAKOA. The point is about going to their game and crashing it, that's as far from an endorsement of their fucked club as it gets

This is good guys - whether we agree or not - we are discussing issues - and we all need to contirbute to come up with the best plans. As Spiro said we need to get peoples attention - its a little of the chicken or the egg - If a millionaire or potential sponsors come on baord and say "yes we are going to promote Olympic and push for the A-league" i am sure many supporters will jump on board.
We can't control that though - what we can control is our own campaign.
Make no mistake - the FFA doesnt want us. If a millionaire comes along tomorrow for a West Sydney Franchise we afre dead in the water.
But as it stands - we have a lot going for us. A large latent support group, a financially stable model (playing out of Belmore) and we can leverage pressure on the FFA with more and more fans saying to them "hey there is a viable option for a second Sydney Gay Leagueteam, why don't you take it"!
Olympic should aim to play in the highest level of compeition in Aus no doubt. bear in mind though there is alos the potnetial of a B-league (IF it happens - big IF) - but if it does we want to be front row centre.
