Parramatta FC v Sydney Olympic Youth teams Trial Games Results
posted by on February 14, 2011
The youth teams of Sydney Olympic FC had their second trial game yesterday, Sunday 13 February at Melita stadium against the youth teams of newly promoted in the Premier League, Parramatta Eagles.
Another positive day for our teams and with improvements and fine tuning since the last trial game we had a week ago.
Once again coaching staff made some useful notes and teams will work on their weak points to improve and become better every week.
Results and reports on the games can be found below:

Parramatta vs Olympic 0-0 (Half Time)
Parramatta vs Olympic 0-0 (Full Time)
Sydney Olympic under 13's drew in the second trial game of the season.
A good performance by the boys and some useful points for both coaching staff and players.

Parramatta vs Olympic 0-7 (Full Time)
THE 14S HAD ANOTHER CONVINCING 7-0 WIN OVER PCYC ON THE WEEKEND AT MELITA STADIUM.
THEY CRUISED IN THE 1st HALF TO LEAD A 4-0 OVER PCYC, WITH GOALS FROM BAI ANTONIOU (2), KUZMANOVSKI (1) AND ANTHONY KRKOVSKI (1). THE SECOND HALF WAS MUCH OF THE SAME WITH PLENTY OF POSSESSION AND WAVES OF ATTACKS.
THE 2nd HALF GOALS CAME FROM JAY JASKOLSKI (1), STEVE KUZMANOVSKI, HITTING HIS SECOND OF THE DAY AND ANTHONY KRKOVSKI ALSO NETTING HIS SECOND GOAL OF THE DAY.
GOOD WORK BOYS AND KEEP UP THE INTENSITY.
Under 15s
Parramatta vs Olympic 0-0 (Half Time)
Parramatta vs Olympic 3-1 (Full Time)
The trial versus Parramatta was a great opportunity for boys to play in other positions, to continue to play out from the back and for boys from the U14’s to test themselves in a higher age group. It was also a great opportunity for the boys who like to use their skills to adapt to a physical environment that presented itself.
The scores were deadlocked 0-0 at half time and it was pleasing to see the boys come out after half time and implement the ideas brainstormed with Osman Tengbeh scoring after some effective combination play and one on one dribbling skills. Seven minutes later Parramatta equalized to make it 1-1 before scoring twice again in the 55th and 57th minute.
While it was a 3-1 loss for Olympic, there are lots of learning points from this game and in the coming month and a half when defensive understanding and football fitness is at a higher level a different team will be seen in the final period of the game.
Under 16s
Parramatta vs Olympic 1-0 (Half Time)
Parramatta vs Olympic 1-3 (Full Time)
‘The Blues’ recovered to record a solid 3-1 victory at Melita Stadium. The first half was evenly contested with both sides looking at securing field position. However, Parramatta came out the stronger and hit the lead with a well taken header after only 2minutes of play.
The second half was a completely different ball game with Olympic dominating and putting a lot of pressure up the field. The boys equalized with some excellent lead-up work from Petro and neatly tucked away by Meko. Olympic continued to dominate, scoring another 2 goals from Zac, with a header and Jason, with an excellent strike from the edge of the box.
The team is showing marked signs of improvement; however, there is a lot more work to be done to maintain the ascendency in games. Keep up the hard work boys!
