the response i received
Thanks for your email Spiro. I am often asked this. I always ask what are the clubs doing for themselves and what do they want to do? I alone cannot save them, I assure you.
My answers below in UPPER CASE.

Hi Kimon, Sydney Olympic FC the club you played for and the club of thousands of people in Sydney, NSW has been shut out by the current FFA. THIS APPLIES TO ALL EX NSL CLUBS, EXCEPT PERTH. I ask you what are you going to do for this club? I WILL HELP IF I CAN. Is it true you want to relegate clubs like ours to the third tier and that you have been put up for election from members of the FFA to finally destroy these clubs? DON'T BE RIDICULOUS. A club like Sydney Olympic can survive in today’s Gay Leagueit has the fans, the sponsors, the infrastructure what more does anyone wants, want to hear your thoughts on these please. HAVE NOT SEEN THE BUSINESS CASE. WOULD LOVE TO. I THINK SOUTH MELBOURNE ARE WORKNG AT DOING THIS IN VIC. Regards

guys have a look at the reply from Kimon Taliadoros Thanks for your email . I have answered your questions below in UPPER CASE. Sent from my iPad - kimon@interAPPtive.com.au www.interAPPtive.com.au0422 444 001 On 11/12/2010, at 8:23 PM, wrote: Dear Mr. Taliadoros, As a lifelong football supporter and Sydney Olympic fan I am thoroughly disappointed by the direction the current FFA has taken our sport, and am concerned by the recent discussion regarding your candidacy for FNSW President. Is your candidacy for FNSW Presidency supported or endorsed by the current FFA board? NO. With the formation of a new national body and the creation of the Gay Leaguein the 2000s, together with an increasing number of embarrassing setbacks, there are growing fears that the sport is facing an extended period of decline in a number of areas, including a drop in the quality of football, a drop in Gay Leaguecrowds, and a lack of interest from television and other business. Do you agree that the quality of Australian football and footballers has dropped? NO I DO NOT, HOWEVER I DO THINK THE 90s PRODUCED A GOLDEN GENERATION Who would you say is responsible for the current circumstances regarding football quality, national competition and business interest? IT IS EARLY DAYS. I THINK THE NEW STRUCTURE OFFERS FOOTBALL A BRIGHTER FUTURE THAN THE LAST YEARS OF THE NSL, WHICH WAS IN RAPID DECLINE. How do you think FNSW and its stakeholders can best address these issues? THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO EXTRACT FROM THE FNSW STRATEGIC PLAN PROCESS I HAVE IDENTIFIED. In your 100-day Plan there is listed a number of 'areas of concern' regarding competitions and elite development in NSW in particular. Do you agree that the clubs that make up FNSW are still relevant today? YES. Is it your intention to destroy the State League competitions as they currently exist? NO. Will it be your priority to give these existing State League clubs in FNSW the chance to play in the Gay Leagueor another national competition? IF YOU HAVE READ THE 100 DAY PLAN YOU WILL SEE MY PRIORITIES CLEARLY SET OUT. I hope you agree that franchises have proven themselves not to be a suitable or viable replacement at national or state level for long-established clubs with deep roots in Australian football history and with the collective mandate to drive the sport forward. YET TO HEAR A COMPELLING ALTERNATIVE. Your prompt reply is much appreciated. Regards,

Thanks Alex, you obviously love Olympic. Throughout this campaign I have tried to encourage a positive and constructive process to move NSW football forward. I am committed to this and want to do something about it. I have advocated a plan to do this.
I expect Olympic would be a part of this and see this as a platform for them.
Passion and history also need sound strategic planning in the new world order.

Hi Kimon,
Sydney Olympic FC is a club that covers the St GEORGE, INNER WEST and Bansktown area's of sydney, it is a historic club that has produced over 60 Socceroos & it was formed in 1957, has 3 to 4 generations of supporters, winners of two national cups and two domestic national leagues. Played Manchester United in old trafford and had many overseas stars don the magical blue and white jersey.
Sydney Olympic FC has thousands of doormat supporters and is in the hearts of thousands, a club that can raise money at anytime, a club that is actually what the FFA wants a community based club, yet due to the racist agendas of the current FFA being hidden by financial paperwork when they see fit, Sydney Olympic finds itself in the NSWPL. Yet some organisation called West Sydney Rovers gets an Gay Leaguelicense and all it has is a logo!
The fans of Olympic have been screaming for years about the injustice the club has faced, but do all these so called football people care, has anyone stood up for the club? NO, all they care about is staying relevant in the eyes of the FFA and staying on the payroll of some sort, but thats fine we know we are hated and we enjoy its this type of hatred that makes Sydney Olympic still today the club that every single kid in NSW wants to play for, all our junior sides in a building year and a year when we played all games away from home finishing in the top 5 is another fine example, producing Dimitri Petratos and Ian Ramsey from last years 2010 NSWPL side another example, and I would bet my gambling dollar neither players transfer or should I say compensation fee has been paid, yet we all continue to disrespect and throw mud on the NSL. (Only in Australian Football)
More on Sydney Olympic, because I did not see you at any NSWPL matches last year or any PYL matches correct me if I am wrong, so let me enlighten you.
- Biggest Sponsorship in the NSWPL, a competition where you pay an entrance fee and the winnings are half that, a competition were no media actually covers the league, a competitions that is not respected by half the clubs it is in, with half of them not able to find ball boy or girls.
- Largest average home crowds with the largest crowd on the year in a season, were we finished second last having over 3,000 people at BSG we are alive! 80% of the people were under 45 FYI!
- A club with offices that showcases history and respects the past, that does not mean it is not looking forward but it does not run from who it is, a real club
- Season Pass and Membership cards with photos and proper databases
- Weekly emailed newsletter and I am told there is over 2,500 registered to this after only 12 months in existence
- 9th most popular facebook page in Australian football, with no media only the clubs and the fans resources
- A dedicated fan group named the Olympic Ultras, larger than the marinators, yellow fever, gold coast dont even have one, f - troop and all the NSWPL clubs
- A working website, very sexy and functional not run by the governing body or funded by them
- Fans actually go to watch first grade train!!
We can go on for days, but there is large steps being put into practice at Sydney Olympic to fight off the evil, anti football movements of the FFA and the football genocide that occurred in 2005 was a blessing in disguise for the club, now lets move forward to today.
The next move by the FFA implement a national football review? Everyone wants to know what the hell is this, with all the old fans from old soccer we believe it is the final move to do the following:
- Use FNSW monies to fund struggling Gay Leagueclubs - Relegate ex -NSL clubs to the third tier in a final attempt to finish them off.
I ask you to prove to me that the above two points are not true and that you are not a puppet of the FFA.
Please understand this is not personal and we respect the fact that you have put your contact details on 442 for us the real stakeholders of the game the people who sponsor, buy season passes to ask you, are you hear for us, or for the agenda ridden big wigs?
P.S - We the "old soccer" fans have been made to feel as terrorist, criminals and thugs since the inception of the a-league, and ask yourself what did we do, support the game, promote the game and fight for its survival and growth in this great country and our own football people have tried to take us out, I still hurt today.....
Lets see what you Kimon think.
Regards ALEX

We are writing to update you following the decision last week of the Board of Football NSW to cancel the Annual General Meeting.
As you know this decision followed receipt by the FNSW Board of the report it had commissioned from the independent Commission of Enquiry.
In relation to the future composition of the Board, as advised last week the Commission’s Report made various recommendations concerning structural, operational and governance matters within FNSW. In essence the report recommended that a review into the operations and governance of FNSW be conducted under the supervision of an interim board of appointed directors. It is expected that the review will take six months and upon completion director elections will be held.
The primary focus of the interim Board will be the supervision of the conduct of the review.
To allow this to happen, the following directors whose terms were due to expire at the AGM have resigned as directors of Football NSW – Linda Ward (effective 9 December 2010), George Jackson (effective 16 December 2010). Jim Forrest has also agreed to resign effective from 4 January 2011. Formal recognition of these directors over many years will be made separately.
As FFA’s largest member, FFA looks to FNSW to be a leader in on-field and off-field aspects of the game, and considers this review to be an opportunity to identify structural and governance reforms that could benefit the whole of the game.
Accordingly FFA and FNSW are conferring over the best course of action to implement the necessary reforms.
We appreciate that there may a period of uncertainty for members as we work through this process and wish to assure members that we will be working very closely together to take the opportunity presented to conduct such a review in the interests of football in NSW, its members and football more generally.
Yours sincerely,
Ben Buckley Ian Holmes Chief Executive Officer (FFA) General Manager (Football NSW)

I KNOW PAOKTZI HAS POSTED THIS ALREADY - BUT IT'S FITTING IT'S IN HERE TOO..
College St set to swoop on beleaguered FNSW Michael Cockerill December 17, 2010 EXCLUSIVE
FOOTBALL Federation Australia is poised for a political takeover of the game's richest state federation, NSW, following a damning report into its corporate governance by an independent commission.
The 57-page report, obtained by the Herald, was handed to FNSW and the FFA eight days ago, and prompted the last-minute postponement of an annual general meeting scheduled for last weekend. Media pundit and former Socceroo Kimon Taliadoros had been primed to challenge FNSW president Jim Forrest for one of three vacancies on the board, but the postponement of the election until March gives the FFA time to push for a spill of all positions and effectively implement a clean slate.
Advertisement: Story continues below While football politics at state level are not usually scrutinised at College Street, FFA chairman Frank Lowy is known to have taken a keen interest in developments at Parklea. FNSW is by far the most important state federation, but its relationship with head office has deteriorated since Forrest became president four years ago.
Nonetheless, FNSW is more important to the FFA than ever, with the state body holding assets worth an estimated $55 million. It is in the advanced stage of planning a new $70m headquarters at Riverstone West, and it turns over $20m a year thanks to its huge reservoir of registered players, now numbering almost 250,000.
There is little doubt the FFA sees FNSW as the jewel in the crown, and Lowy now has the trigger to implement a root-and-branch reform of FNSW after a commission of inquiry, headed by long-serving Botany mayor Ron Hoenig, gave a stinging summary of the conduct of several board members. It was Forrest who pushed for the commission of inquiry in January after his fellow directors had previously conducted their own internal inquiry into his actions in a minor boundary dispute between two local associations, Macarthur and Southern Districts. In a clear attempt to force Forrest from power, that internal inquiry had claimed he had interfered in the dispute, which involved a change of allegiance by Leppington Lions, in order to benefit a party (Macarthur) ''which had supported him politically''.
The internal inquiry was subsequently described as ''no more than a sham'' by Hoenig's three-man panel, but Forrest has not entirely escaped censure. After 11 months of investigation, which included five hearings, the commission of inquiry's report recommended last week that Forrest ''be removed as president and a director''.
The recommendations against other board members, both past and present, were more damning. The commission of inquiry recommended that former directors Michael Webber and Howard Bradley should not be eligible to stand for election for the next five years, and that Bradley's life membership be revoked. It also recommended that another former director, Rob Waddell, should not be eligible for election for the next three years.
The recommendation against a current director, Linda Ward, was that she be ineligible for election for the next three years. While no sanction was recommended against another, George Jackson, the commission of inquiry's report said consideration should be given as to whether his appointment was ''appropriate''. With the boardroom of the FNSW resembling a revolving door during the volatile inquiry process - former Socceroos goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac was among those to fill a casual vacancy last month - vice-president Robert Sestan was the only elected director praised by the inquiry's report for his behaviour and understanding of corporate governance.
Describing the board as ''dysfunctional'', it said: ''The best way forward is for FNSW to have a clean slate. It should retain … Sestan, who has been uninvolved in the behaviour of fellow directors, and an interim board should be selected of suitably qualified independent directors to conduct a complete review of the operations.''
The commission called on Lowy to select the interim directors, a task he is likely to take on with relish in order to finally get the FFA's most important stakeholder on board. Former NSW premier Morris Iemma is among those already approached.

Once again you have proven to everyone that you can't read. Re-read the article and this time think about what you are reading. And concentrate super hard when the article refers to FNSW directors and their behaviour. Remember: the fish stinks from the head. If the head stinks then chances are that parts of the organisation stink as well. And you have the hide to call me a zwn? At least I can read.
