Here it is gents:
23. In the Commission’s view the appropriate personnel to be appointed as interim Directors should be selected by the Chairman of Football Federation Australia Limited (FFA), Mr Frank Lowy AM. The Commission recommends Mr Lowy as the appropriate person as he is a highly respected Australian with considerable knowledge of the game, considerable knowledge of business, corporations and their method of governance and the qualifications of Directors of corporations.
24. Implementing the Commission’s recommendation is the only way to rid FNSW of its narrow sectional interests that have permeated the election of its Directors -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There you go. Its like the crawford report all over again. A commission set up to get rid of the board for Lowy to walk in with his puppets and take ownership of $55million of assets and complete control of our clubs future.

Hi Guys, I haven't read the discussion paper in full, but I don't think that changeing our name, emblem or colours will erase our history. Remember, we changed our name to join the NSL at it's inception, we have changed our emblem more times than I wish to remember and our colours??? Well, I'm reliably imformed in the early days we looked more like Olympiacos and I clearly remember many "reverse" strips being used in favour of the "home" strip. In short, we change everything outwardly about ourselves, but we will always be Pan-Hellenic/SOFC/ ?2011. Let's jump in and do it. It is more important that we have our club (insert name here) and have real skin in the game rather than bitching and moaning from the outside. Live from Washington DC, Mr Inde.

Bullshit change our name. That's the best name in the country in any sport. Olympic is in our blood boys. It's more than a name, it's our culture and history. What stupid name do they want us to have anyway ? Do they expect the people to just keep turning up to the games if it's not called Olympic ? I'll tell you how many will turn up = 0. I'd rather support Olympic in state league than a pretend Olympic in A-League. They want us in the Gay Leaguebecause they know we would pull big crowds. Sydney Olympic FC in Gay Leaguewould be successful. Tell them it's OLYMPIC or nothing. Enough of their stand over tactics. Let them have their Gay Leagueand keep it. I also defend the other wog clubs as well and believe they should also keep their identities and heritage as well. It's alright for Lowe to keep Sydney Hakoah alive under the HAKOA name isn't it ! Never let them take SYDNEY OLYMPIC away from us. It's more than a name.

I agree. A decision to change the name should only be up to the club and members. No external influences should affect that decision. We bowed once when we changed the name from Pan-hellenic to Sydney Olympic for the NSL, and look where that took us! Now they want us to change it again for the A-league? FUCK THEM! I Refuse to change anything.
