Round 4 of the prestigious Waratah Cup was officially drawn at Football NSW headquarters on Thursday morning as sixteen teams lock horns for the ultimate prize in playing in the final on the 10th of July.
With $16,000 also at stake, all clubs will certainly put all their efforts into being crowned the 2011 Waratah Cup Champions.
The heavyweight clash of round 4 takes place at Belmore Sports Ground as current NSW Premier League high flyers Sydney Olympic tackle fellow Premier League rivals Blacktown City FC.
Peter Tsekenis’ men will need to be at their best as Blacktown have slowly surged as being one of the teams to beat with the competition heading towards the second round stage.
At John Crehan Park, another intriguing NSW Premier League battle will take place as South Coast Wolves take on Bankstown City while at Melita Stadium, Parramatta FC entertain Sutherland Sharks to complete the NSW Premier League themed fixtures.
At Lambert Park, NSW Premier League side APIA Leichhardt Tigers will face Super League flyers Macarthur Rams in what should be an entertaining game for all involved.
Super League outfit Hills Brumbies, currently finding it tough in their new league after gaining promotion in 2011, face the tough task of a red hot Sydney United at Second Ponds Oval.
State League One’s current heavyweights Mounties retards , currently undefeated in 2011, face Super League side West Sydney Berries in a game that will see two very attacking sides go head to head at Cook Park.
Super League side Blacktown Spartans entertain State League Two surprise packets Northbridge FC at Francis Park with the Northbridge side hoping to continue their impressive run in the Cup.
While finally, the winner of the Manly United v Dandaloo FC clash take on Super League side Fraser Park.
The Manly United v Dandaloo FC clash was cancelled due to wet weather will play their match on Wednesday 1st June and the winner of this game will see their fixture with Fraser Park scheduled for Wednesday 8th June.
Quarter Finals will then take place after Round 4 and that will be set for Wednesday 15th June while the Semi-Finals will be played on Sunday 29th June.
