Ok guys, after talk about koreans, the ffa and our club.
a lot of people have said we need to bring our own people back and if we do it right you will see the crowds.
I personally would love to see this Korean thing happen and when i get back i will make calls and see if there is any chance.
But Blaze could you explain to everyone on here about the historic agreement of the Greek Church and the Greek Community Club and the assets, cash and power they have.
And do you think that Olympic could benefit in anyway with this? By getting invovled with the 2?
After all the Greek Community in Sydney has three things the church, the koinotita and Olympic and let me tell you from here in Europe the power of Olympic is on par with many many teams in europe, teams in toip national divisions play from towns with 20,000 people there are 300,000 people in sydney with greek passports and all of you who dont have one are not counted in that figure

Mate I doubt there are 300,000 people in Sydney with Greek Passports. Hghly doubt that. Considering at the last census (2006) there was only 365,147 people of Greek ancestry in the whole of Australia.
Where do you get your figures from?

Fuck off mate, what do you get out of making shit up? It's not going to become true. You give other decent Olympic fans a bad name
Wikipedia doesn't say it... The last Australian census says it. That's what wikipedia is quoting. You find it hard to believe ey? Well there are a number of possibilities here:
A) The ABS does not know how to count B) The government is lying about the number of Greeks in Australia C) hundreds of thousands of people are ashamed to admit that they're of Greek heritage D) you're an idiot
Take your pick

I think the census only included those born in Greece. There's be about 800,000 Greeks across Australia.

Census data asks you for your background AND where you were born. I had to fill that shit out for my oldies back in 06 lol
'The 2006 census recorded 97,218 people of Greek Ancestry born in Greece and 18,381 in Cyprus,[1][2][3] though it is uncertain how many of the latter are Greek Cypriots. A total of 365,147 persons declared having Greek ancestry, either alone or in conjunction with another ethnicity.[4] The Greek language was spoken at home by 252,222 Australian residents, a 4.125% decrease from the 2001 census data'

They tabulate their results based on people who were born in Greece, decendants of people born in Greece, Greek ancestry and language spoken at home.
